"Kitchen Curtain"
Tissue paper on Bristol, 14 in x 17 in, 2022
This piece was inspired by my mom's kitchen curtain set; I guess after spending hours cooking next to it, I just found it interesting and beautiful. Let's be clear that when my mom got it, I hated it. But I feel that the most interesting thing about this piece is the simplicity it has and how something simple can be so interesting to make and so beautiful.

"The Knowledge Flower"
Acrylic, Charcoal, Book pages, and Markers on Bristol, 14 in x 17 in, 2022
This piece was made by using materials around me and just seeing how they behave together; I think this could be a little bit of how Basquiat's work was made and since I like his work I tried to imitate his technique a little bit. Also, this is a solution I found for my old school's books that can't be resealed and that this way they can be recycled and turned into an artwork.

"The Infinity Flower"
Book pages, Tissue paper, Mulberry paper, Construction paper, texture Paper, rice paper, Watercolor paper, Charcoal and Markers on Bristol, 24 in x 16 in. 2022
"The Infinity Flower" is a flower design inspired by the Marvel movies and their seven stones; in this work I decided to use 7 different types of paper to represent that like the stones they are unique and different in their own. I think this is one of the most challenging works I have ever made, because I needed to cut and assemble each petal in a way that looks slightly larger than the previous and because of course after the first four rounds the size became an issue too.
